The Flat Season
Even though there has been some racing on the flat over in Ireland and at Redcar the season starts in earnest at the weekend with the Lincoln meeting.

I have already backed Battle of Marathon EW for the Lincoln itself at 33s.

A lot of money has come for locally based horse Lord of the land but the price has now gone.

Another I may have a nibble on is Mutarakez.

Further afield I have already backed Emotionless for the 2000 Guineas at 14/1 altho Air Force Blue is a rock solid favourite. Buratino also catches the eye and Mark Johnstons horses have been flying on the all weather. Did anyone manage to catch his horses that won last Friday/Saturday, looked some right machines in there.

As for the 1000Gs I have backed Lumeire but again the price has gone.

Any thoughts gents?

Re: The Flat Season
Funny enough Soldo I looked at that one :)

Maybe worth a little EW punt. Wonder when they start doing NRNB on the race?

P son... yup usual Jolly Boys coach trip... think there's at least 50 of us doing it... decent day the Friday especially with the new Commonwealth Cup Gr 1 now added....

Jon... just looked at the betting for the Derby and it's as sparce as you like at the mo... obviously loads of things will change with all the Irish Derby trials, the Dante and Chester... and I suppose we'll get a clearer picture then... one that is really interesting is the O'Brien horse Hit It A Bomb... read that it's looking at French 2000 G's (early May) and has an entry for Epsom... damsire of Saddlers Wells so would thought would get the trip... looked to have plenty screaming home in the Breeders Cup Juv Turf at K'land... 25/1 at the mo...

Was home by 3 yesterday and they had a little piece on it with the Irish expert.

He reckons it's the real deal, but there did only look to be one other decent horse in that race.

Did I read that it's into 7's after only one run in Mickland?? Fuck me either it's the best since Secretariat or it's a shit standard Derby this year??

Re: The Flat Season
Wouldn't have won with anyone else on it, was riding that from a long way it.

Showed his human side earlier on the card with a crap ride I'll probably back next time up.

Grumps

Very dodgy indeed. It will probably flop and be saved for another day no doubt.

Re: The Flat Season
Beckett's/Berry's runner today is at Lingfield - Another Boy.

Beckett is 21% at the track so well worth a dabble.

And call me a cynic, but if that horse wins at Dundalk that is as dodgy as it gets. Good luck to you all though, as don't mind the bookies being stung.

TM

Morky put further down it had been entered for Dundalk tonight. The price has gone now.

Could be one of those bookies horses where it is a false price and wont win anyway.

Johnston has another 2 year old entered for the Brocklesby called The Last Lion. Apparently had a turf gallop with Sutter County during the week and altho didnt gallop all over him he was a couple of lengths faster in the work out.

Chupulla will probably run at the Chester meeting (The Lily Agnes)

Boater will not be running for a while as he had a problem after last weeks impressive win. Johnston thinks he keeps knocking himself. Could end up at Ascot.

Lumiere's next race will be the guineas. Having a race course gallop on Monday at Haydock.

All this is taken from a lad who is close to the MJ stable and is now part of The Tipping Point group on FB.
